WISHING ALL A HAPPY & PROSPEROUS 2010

2010 ALREADY!
We have a busy few months coming up. Pipers and drummers from the Dubai Pipe Band will be performing at various functions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi throughout January, February, and March including the usual Burns' Suppers.

As is usual in Dubai we are sorry to lose some more of our band members but would also like to welcome the newcomers to the band and also the learners who are coming on nicely.

CALLING ALL BUDDING PIPERS & DRUMMERS!
The Dubai Pipe Band is always on the lookout for new members so if you or anyone you know plays the pipes or drums, or would like to learn, please contact Craig Lightbody the Pipe Major for more information or email tuition@dubaipipeband.com to find out the schedules, tuition times, location etc.

CALLING ALL SPONSORS!
The Dubai Pipe Band would like to thank all its sponsors and friends to date. As the Band is growing, so too is the requirement for new uniforms, drums and other Band accessories etc. If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring the Dubai Pipe Band, please contact Craig Lightbody the Pipe Major.

Thanks

Many thanks to all our supporters and Friends of Dubai Pipe Band, and the help and support we have received from spouses of Band members.

And last, but not least, we would like to thank Abdul and his team from Ras Al Khamaih, who travel over every Monday night to practice with the Band and also joined us at recent events.

The Dubai Pipe Band provided entertainment at the Jebel Ali Primary School Spring Festival on Friday 3 March 2006. There, we had a stall (as we had at the Dubai Country Club for the Great British Day and more recently, the Kings School Fayre), where new people came along to join the "Friends of Dubai Pipe Band" and a few expressed an interest in joining the band. New members are always welcome. A special thank you to those of you who helped out at the stall - especially Lee Bond who recently signed up for Friends of Dubai Pipe Band, and will be joining us as a drummer. Lee also took some great photographs of the event - see them on the Gallery page. Thank you Lee!

THE KINGS SCHOOL FAYRE - FEBRUARY 2005
If you attended the Kings School Fayre on 17 February, you would have heard the Dubai Pipe Band and perhaps had a chance to visit our stall. A very big thank you to all of our supporters who came along to sign up for the "Friends of Dubai Pipe Band" - your contribution to the Band Funds is very much appreciated. We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed performing for you! Thanks again to Cindy (Paddy's wife) for providing us with photographs of the day (see Gallery page).

Thanks to all who helped out at the stall, and special thanks to Cindy (Paddy's wife) and Patricia (Patrick's wife) for the photographs taken of the Band on the day, which you can see on the Gallery page. You may have heard the sound of bagpipe music as you strolled through Global Village during the Dubai

authentic character that the band added to their Global Village experience, offering applause and requesting
numerous photos. Earlier in the month, the Dubai Pipe Band provided a cultural addition to the official inauguration of the new Global Village site. Officials and dignitaries were treated to a pipe band performance during the event's wind-up dinner.
